The largest crocheted blaket in the world!
During the Knitting and Hitching Days, the World’s Greatest Crocheted Blanket is present at the fair. As a social project in the framework of the Capital of Culture 2018, Leeuwarden, Esmeralda and Monique try to make the largest blanket in the world.
On Worskhopplein 2 you can hook up, participate at the crochet table or hand in your crocheted blankets.
What do we ask and what do we offer:
– There is a delivery point for blankets and blankets. The submitted pieces are laid together on the ground to give an impression of what the real Greatest Crocheted Blanket will give in 2018.
– Everyone can hand in all crocheted blankets that measure 140 x 200 centimeters, old or new! Do you still have old crocheted plaids or blankets in the attic? Customize them (140 x 200 centimeters) and they can also join! Or finished KAL blankets are of course also very suitable for this.
Crochet-to-meeting place. Crochet lovers are welcome at the meeting place at Workshopplein 2. Take your own crochet work with you. Are your granny squares (10 x 10 cm.) then you can finish it and sent them right in.
