My name is Anda van ’t Hof and I am a knitter.
I think I was 6 or 7 when I asked my mother if she wanted to teach me how to knit. Luckily she did it and it never let me go. I am still of the generation that it was not strange to take a knitwear out of your bag in high school (that is, if you belonged to the “alternatives”). Along the way, I have gained considerable knowledge of knitting through workshops and many attempts. I have tried most techniques.
What always fascinates me is the construction of an item of clothing: how can you shape your knitwear so that it does what you want it to do … I hope that I can share some of my knowledge with you and that we can go on a journey of discovery together in the workshop contiguous sleeve method that will give during the Knitting Festival in Groningen.
