For a number of years, Carla Meijsen has given the popular course ‘Advanced Knitting’ (also known as ‘Het Betere Breiwerk’ in Dutch). Specially for the Dutch Knitting Festival she has made a mini-course of the course so you can get a taste of it and you can see if it’s something for you. Be prepared for three hours of knitting hard, and be surprised by everything there is to learn!
The ‘Advanced Knitting Mini’ is an in-depth study of the knitted fabric and the most basic principles of knitting so that you get a better insight into the technique of knitting and bring your own knitting skills to a higher level. This way you learn to knit more evenly and avoid and fix mistakes so that your knitting will look really professional.
In the workshop you will get a taste of all kinds of knitting methods and techniques. By knitting this sample, by the end of the workshop it will be clear if you want to follow the entire programme that Carla offers.
