Event
The Dutch Knitting Festival (Brei- en Haakdagen) is the inspiration event for passionate knitting and crochet lovers. The event takes place three times a year (in 2019 at least):

Spring 2020: 27 & 28 march 2020 – Suikerfabriek Groningen
Spring 2020: 1 & 2 may 2020 – De Kromhouthal Amsterdam
Fall 2020: 9 & 13 october 2020 – IJsselhallen Zwolle

Set up
There is a trade fair floor where the exhibitors present themselves, during the whole day there are workshops, meet & greets and lectures. The knitting festival welcomes around 4,000 visitors spread out over the two days.

Opening hours for public (Groningen)
Market: 27 & 28 March 2020 – 10am-5pm

Opening hours for public (Amsterdam)
Market: 1 & 2 May 2020 – 10am-5pm

Opening hours for public (Zwolle)
Market: 9 & 10 October 2020 – 10am-5pm

De Suikerfabriek Groningen, Suikerlaan 20 in Groningen:
The “Zeefgebouw” and the so called Balroom will be used as marketplace and for short workshops. Other workshops will take place in seperate rooms.

Stands
Standard empty floor spaces of at least 3 × 2 meters (wide x deep, you determine the size yourself) for € 35,00 per m2 excl. VAT for 2 days, incl. electricity. A place including a booth (marketstall) of 4 x 1 meter (wide x deep) is € 325,00 excl. VAT and incl. lighting and electricity. The place is then 2 x 4 meters, the tabletop of the marketstall is 4 x 1 meter in size. Of course it is possible to rent more than 1 booth or to combine a stall with extra floor space (standard 2 meters deep).

Workshops
For exhibitors there is the oppertunity to teach workshops. The price for renting a space for workshops including 4 tables and 10 chairs is € 35,00 excl. VAT. The festival also has a classprogramme with a number of in-depth workshops that are thaught by renowned teachers that are invited by the organizers of the festival.

Catering
Catering will be provided in the Marketplace and the “Wolkenfabriek” will also be opened.

Build up and dismantling times:
Building up on the 26th of March from 10.00 am till 6.00 pm. Dismantling starts directly after the festival closes on March 28th, after 5 pm.

IJsselhallen Zwolle, Rieteweg 1, 8011 AB Zwolle:
De Meerhal and the Hanzezaal are used as the marketplace and for shorter workshops. The Suydersee room is used for the plenary program such as workshops, lectures etc.

Entrance fee for visitors
Entrance fee is € 10, – per day and € 18, – passe-partout
